Glossary

Line
An angled band of two rails, drawn on the live price. Its author earns a cut of wins inside it.
Position
A stake on a corridor, your own or somebody else's, on a side. Entered at the locked mark.
Hold
Backing a corridor to keep both rails to the end. Wins if no rail is touched.
Breach
Backing a rail to be touched before the end. Wins the moment one is.
Rail
One of the two boundaries of a corridor. Touching one resolves the whole thing.
Sideline
Taking a side on somebody else's running corridor, at odds read off its hold probability.
Angle
How far the corridor leans, from -1.8 to +1.8, measured in span across the whole run.
Width
Rail distance from the centre, from 0.75x to 2.4x span.
Duration
How long the position runs, from 10 minutes to 24 hours.
Hold probability (P)
The model's chance the corridor keeps both rails to the end. Prices both sides.
Multiplier (M)
Your payout factor, final at lock. The inverse of your side's win probability, less the spread, capped by the ceiling.
Spread (d)
The venue's published margin, 3.5%, the same on both sides. No hidden odds edge.
Ceiling
The maximum multiplier, x30, which keeps the backstop solvent.
Span
An asset's typical move over a run of that length. Sizes the corridor at open, never decides the outcome.
Lock
The moment a signed price report sets your entry and fixes your multiplier.
Backstop
The neutral onchain counterparty that pays every winning close.
Author's cut
The corridor author's share of every winning ticket on it: 20% of its profit fee.
Net score
Realized P and L plus cuts earned. The venue's skill metric, and how the standings rank.
Operator
The service that posts signed quotes and locks entries to reports. It cannot pick an entry price or a winner.
$HOLD
The single asset every product runs on. Play with it, win it back, stake it to back the backstop.
